I. Introduction
Plaintiffs Sarahjane Blum, Ryan Shapiro, Lana Lehr, Lauren Gazzola, and Iver Robert Johnson III, dedicated animal rights activists, bring this facial and as-applied challenge to the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (“AETA”),1 a criminal statute that prohibits acts of violence against animal enterprises and the persons and entities connected with those enterprises.
