Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Suffolk County (Namm, J.), rendered November 6, 1991, convicting him of murder in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

We reject the defendant’s contention that he was excluded from a material stage of the trial when counsel exercised their challenges to the jury outside of his presence.
