hThe district attorney appeals the trial judge’s granting of the motion to quash filed by the defendant, Ryan Marcelin. The district attorney charged Mr. Marce-lin with Jumping Bail, a violation of La. R.S. 14:110.1 A, which criminalizes the “intentional failure to appear at the date, time, and place as ordered by the court before which the defendant’s case is pending.” The ground specified in Mr. Marce-lin’s motion to quash was that his failure to appear was as a result of the district attorney’s failure to serve written notice of his hearing at the proper address listed…
