The case before us is an appeal from a final adjudication of the orphans’ court upon the account of the appellant as executrix of the last will and testament of the deceased husband. There is but a single question involved in the contest. It arises in this way. The decedent, George W. Bruckman, left a will in which after giving a legacy of three mortgages amounting to $3,500 to one Mary Jane Beyerle he made the following provision in clause three of the will. “ Item 3d.
