SPROUSE, Circuit Judge:

We are presented with two separate appeals 1 arising from the district court trial of Joseph Gorrell Pierce, Frank Lee Bras-well, Pat Braswell, Roger Allen Pierce, Rae-ford Melano Caudle and James C. Talbert. The defendants were indicted in March of 1981 and later convicted of conspiracy to use explosives to damage or destroy buildings used in interstate commerce, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 844(i) and 371 (1976). in the first appeal, all six defendants challenge their convictions.
