MEMORANDUM AND ORDER
LARSON, District Judge.
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (“ADEA” or “Act”) covered only private-sector and State government employees. P.L. 90-202, 81 Stat. 602, 29 U.S.C. § 630(b). In 1974 Congress amended the Act to extend protection to Federal employees. P.L. 93-259, § 28(b)(2), adding 29 U.S.C. § 633a. By this amendment Congress authorized aggrieved Federal employees to bring a civil suit in Federal district court.
