Plaintiffs, an unincorporated association of certain employees of the City of Memphis Fire Department and some individual members of that association, bring this suit under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against the City of Memphis alleging that they suffered due process violations and racial discrimination in violation of rights protected by the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution during the City’s administration of the 2000 Memphis Fire Department Promotional Process.
