The plaintiff, as widow of "William Kerr, deceased, sues for damages under the wrongful death statute for the death of her husband caused by the alleged negligence of the defendant in operating as receiver the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern Railroad. The deceased met his death on the night of March 1, 1916, at or near a public road crossing some three miles east of Galena, Stone County, Missoifri, where his body was found about nine o’clock p. m.
