This appeal challenges the denial of a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict in an age discrimination suit. Shirley Ann Reynolds, (hereinafter Reynolds), was demoted and fired at the age of forty-eight after fifteen years of service. She brought an action in the District Court for the Northern District of Alabama against her former employer, the CLP Corporation, (hereinafter CLP), seeking damages for alleged violations of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, 29 U.S.C. §§ 621 et seq (1982).
