We are here concerned with the custody of a four-year-old boy, Mark Edward Gann. The Sieberts, appellants here, obtained an interlocutory order of adoption. Mark’s mother (who had abandoned the child at birth) entered her- appearance in that proceeding and gave her consent. However, Josephine Benson, appellee, with whom Mark had resided continuously since birth, was not a party to the proceeding.
