Plaintiff, Ramona Kolacki, brought suit against defendants, Laura and Randall Verink, alleging violation of the Animal Control Act (510 ILCS 5/1 et seq. (West 2006)) and negligence based on premises liability for injuries plaintiff sustained when she was kicked in the head by a horse at her job. Defendants filed a motion to dismiss the complaint pursuant to section 2 — 619 of the Code of Civil Procedure (735 ILCS 5/2 — 619 (West 2006)).
