Following a jury trial, Charles Stanard Severance (“appellant”) was convicted of two counts of capital murder for the deaths of Ronald Kirby and Ruthanne Lodato, one count of first-degree murder for the death of Nancy Dunning, and other related charges. Prior to trial, appellant moved to sever the charges relating to the Dunning murder from the other offenses.
