This is the decision after a trial to the Court without a jury, no demand having been made for a jury.

The action was brought by The Northern Trust Company (“Northern”), an Illinois corporation with its principal place of business (banking) in Chicago. The defendant is The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. (“Chase”), a national banking association with its principal place of business (banking) in the City of New York.
