This case came before the Supreme Court on November 29, 2011, after a jury verdict in favor of the defendants, Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) and Edmund E. Hathaway (Hathaway) (collectively, defendants). The plaintiff, Yi Gu (plaintiff or Yi Gu), appeals from the trial justice’s denial of her motions for a new trial and for reconsideration of that decision.
