About thirty years prior to the institution of this proceeding, the Provident Life and Accident' Insurance Company issued to George W. Walker a contract of insurance. The contract provided that, in consideration of periodic payments by Walker, the insurance company would pay to the insured $45 per month for total disability “resulting directly and exclusively of all other causes from bodily injuries sustained during the life of this policy, solely through External, Violent and Accidental Means, * * * for the period of total loss of time commencing on the date of accident, during which such…
