State v. Ilsley

Supreme Judicial Court of Maine

Decided July 26, 1991PublishedCited by 5 opinions

1Opinion of the Court

BRODY, Justice.

Defendant Scott Ilsley appeals from a judgment entered in the Superior Court (Oxford County, Alexander, J.) after he was convicted of one count of violating a protection from harassment order in violation of 5 M.R.S.A. § 4659(1) (1989). 1 Ilsley contends that the court erred in convicting him on the basis of a letter that he claims was unauthenticated and otherwise irrelevant to the crime with which he was charged. He also contends that even if properly admitted the letter was insufficient to support his conviction. Finding no merit in either argument, we affirm the judgment.
