SIMPSON, Circuit Judge:
We review here a district court order denying appellant’s petition for a writ of habeas corpus. For reasons set out below, we affirm the district court’s ruling.
I. THE FACTS
Joe Cephas Singleton, the appellant, is a black male who was charged in April, 1960, with the rape of a white female in Beaumont, Texas.
