Sebastian Ortiz was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court of Arlington County of one count of rape of a female child under the age of thirteen in violation of Code § 18.2-61. Ortiz appealed his conviction to the Court of Appeals, which denied Ortiz' petition in an unpublished order. Ortiz v. Commonwealth, Record No. 0587-07-4 (October 30, 2007).
