ESQUIVEL, Justice.

This is an appeal from a judgment in a suit for damages based on negligence and the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. 1

Appellant William Blackwood (Black-wood) sued appellee Tom Benson Chevrolet, Inc. (Benson) for damages sustained as the result of alleged negligent repair of his truck by Benson and for breach of warranty under the Act. In a bench trial, the court awarded Blackwood damages in the amount of $1,832.85 based on its finding that Blackwood’s damages, which represented the cost of parts and labor and loss of use of the truck, were proximately caused by the…
