KELLY, Associate Judge:

We consider here the question of whether a fourteen-month delay between an arrest and a second trial violated appellant’s right to a speedy trial guaranteed him by the sixth amendment. 1

The testimony is that on November 25, 1969 two plainclothes Metropolitan police officers on duty in the Greyhound Bus Terminal at 12th Street and New York Avenue, N. W., noticed appellant and an unidentified young woman engaged in conversation.
