In an indictment returned in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant, Anthony Younger, was charged with the offenses of robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 38, par. 18—1(a)) and theft (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 38, par. 16—1(a)). The theft charge was nol-prossed. Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of robbery and sentenced to three years’ incarceration. In a Rule 23 order (87 Ill. 2d R. 23; 132 Ill.
