Kansas City brought this suit in the municipal court under article 7 of its charter to ascertain and assess the damages and benefits resulting from a change in the grade of Wyandotte Street between Plaza Road and Twenty-fifth Street. The appellant, who is the owner of 157 feet of land on the’northwest corner of Wyandotte and Twenty-fifth 'Street, filed 'a claim for damages in this proceeding on the account of the change in the grade of Wyandotte Street opposite his property.
