Appellants, several hundred lessee dealers operating — or formerly operating — Shell service stations in seventeen states (collectively “the dealers”), brought suit against Shell Oil Company, Motiva Enterprises, L.L.C., Equilon Enterprises, L.L.C., and Equiva Services, L.L.C. (collectively “Shell”), alleging various causes of action arising out of their business relationships with Shell.
