INTRODUCTION
Mr. and Mrs. McBean ["the McBeans" or "appellants"] are suing Guardian Insurance Company ["GIC"], the McBeans' insurer, and Christopher Brathwaite and Brathwaite & Associates ['Brathwaite'], their insurance agent, to recover money damages under a property insurance contract in the aftermath of Hurricane Marilyn [collectively "appellees"]. The McBeans filed a claim for approximately $236,050 in damage to the structure and $142,624 for personal effects and furniture.
