This appeal involves a dispute between Cajun Contractors, Inc. (hereinafter “Cajun”) and Lafayette City-Parish Consolidat*589ed Government — Lafayette Utilities Systems (hereinafter “LUS”) regarding delay damages associated with the construction of improvements to a water treatment plant. Pursuant to the provisions of a contract between the parties, Cajun requested that LUS submit the matter to arbitration to resolve the dispute.
