This case came before the Supreme Court on December 1, 2010, pursuant to an order directing the parties to appear and show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not summarily be decided. Raymond Lynch (Lynch or applicant) was convicted of five counts of sexual assault— three counts of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of second-degree sexual assault — against his sixteen-year-old developmentally disabled daughter.
