This chancery proceeding was brought in the Circuit Court of Ohio County by Laura Baird Polen and four others, the children and heirs at law of William C. Baird, against R. Ellen Baird and Josiah W. Baird and wife, a half-sister and half-brother of John Baird, for the purpose of construing the will of John Baird who died in 1901, leaving personal property consisting mainly of farm equipment and in addition thereto his home consisting of a tract of 115 acres, located on what is locally known as “Boggs Hill Road”, and the buildings located thereon.
