On October 20, 2006, the State of Louisiana charged Andrew W. Holland (hereinafter “Holland” or “defendant”) by bill of information with one count of violating La. R.S. 40:967(C), possession of cocaine. On November 6, 2006, Holland appeared before the trial court for arraignment and pled not guilty to the charge. On February 14, 2007, the trial court heard defendant’s motion to suppress evidence, motion to suppress confession, motion to suppress identification, and held a preliminary hearing.
