The petitioner, Albert E. Loefler, has brought this proceeding under article 78 of the Civil Practice Act in which he seeks an order directing the respondents, president and members of the village board of trustees of the village of Ilion, to reinstate the petitioner to a position which he held in the village service, which position was abolished by the village trustees.
