Husband, Donald R. Nelson, appeals from the judgment of the trial court modifying the decree of dissolution of his marriage to wife, Katherine J. Nelson. Wife cross-appeals. We affirm in part and reverse and remand in part.

The marriage of the parties was dissolved by a decree of dissolution on March 21, 1995. One child was born of the marriage in 1982 and the court awarded wife physical and legal custody of that child. The court ordered husband to pay $1,100.00 per month in child support and $2,000.00 per month in spousal maintenance, and awarded wife…
