In this appeal, the State argues the trial court erred in suppressing one of Kendra Samuel’s statements to law enforcement. The State claims the record contains no basis for the trial court’s decision, and the trial court’s failure to exercise any discretion constituted an abuse of discretion. Alternatively, the State claims the trial court erred in excluding the statement pursuant to a Rule 403, SCRE analysis.
