STOCKARD, Commissioner.

Edward Edmonson, appellant herein, was charged with the offense of tampering, driving and operating an automobile without the consent of the owner. See Sections 560.175 and 560.180 (all references are to RSMo 1949, V.A.M.S.). The information also contained the necessary averments pursuant to Section 556.280, known as the habitual criminal act, to the effect that he had previously been convicted of six separate felonies.
