On March 14, 1986, a jury convicted defendant, Christopher Malone, of second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549. Defendant was sentenced to serve not less than thirty nor more than fifty-five years in prison, to be served consecutively to a sentence defendant was serving in Illinois.
