This was an action commenced by the seven children of John Wilson Bledsoe, who were all minors suing by their next friend, Nathaniel Bledsoe, against the “ Brooklyn Life Insurance Company,” to recover the amount of a policy of life assurance which it issued upon the life of their father. The Code provides, “ All pleadings must be as brief as is consistent with perspicuity, and the presentation of the facts or matter to be put in issue in an intelligible form; no objection can be allowed for defect of form, if facts are so presented that a material issue in law or fact can be taken by the adverse party thereon.” R. G. § 2629. Again, “ Any pleading which conforms substantially to the schedule of forms attached to this part is sufficient.” R. C. § 2630.
