This suit was brought by appellee against appellants to recover damages for breach of contracts for the shipment of cotton from Galveston to Havre, France, and Bremen, Germany.

Plaintiff’s petition, after alleging that it is a corporation organized under the laws of the state of New York and having its domicile in said state, and that it was engaged in the business of transporting merchandise in ships owned and chartered by it between ports in the United States and foreign countries, and that its transportation business between Galveston, Tex., and Havre, France, and Bremen, Germany, was…
