The issue in this case is whether the circuit court complied with this court’s mandate in Johnson v. State, 356 Ark. 534, 157 S.W.3d 151 (2004). We hold that it did comply and affirm the circuit court’s order.

Appellant Stacey Eugene Johnson was convicted of capital murder in the death of Carol Heath and was sentenced to death in 1994. We reversed the conviction because the trial court admitted a statement from the victim’s daughter identifying Johnson, after the daughter had been found incompetent to testify at trial. Johnson v.
