Two appeals from decisions of the Board of Appeals of the United States Patent Office- in the respective cases named in the caption are here before us. Each appeal involves a single count. The applications of the respective appellees are stated to be the property of a common owner. There is only one application by appellant. A combined record was made up in the Patent Office and upon the appeal to this court and, the subject matter of the counts' being similar and certain of the questions involved being common to both cases, they were briefed and orally argued together.
