Shortly after the lease by the Georgia Eailroad to Wadley was ■made, it was assigned to the Lonisville & Nashville Eailroad Company, which subsequently became the sole lessee of the Western Eailway of Alabama; and in 1899 the Atlantic Coast Line Company acquired a half interest in the lease. Under the terms of "the lease, the lessee companies were bound to pay all taxes that might be collectible from the lessors.
