for the Court.

This case came before the Supreme Court for oral argument on March 30, 2016, pursuant to a petition for a writ of certiorari filed by the petitioner, Michael Morse. In his petition, Morse sought review by this Court of a decision of the Retirement Board of the Employees Retirement System of the City of Providence (the board) dated July 24, 2013. In its decision, the board denied Morse’s application for an accidental disability pension.
