This is an action of ejectment brought by William Graydbn, a resident and citizen of the state of Hew Jersey, against Lovell Hurd, a resident and citizen of Michigan, to recover possession of a fractional quarter of a section of land lying in Genesee county, Mich. The title of this land was vested in William McKay in 3841. Subsequently, McKay sold the land to O’Donohue, and gave him a contract to convey. O’Donohue assigned this contract to Albert Swift, who mortgaged the land to Hope, Graydon, and Seeley on November 30, 1856. Afterwards, Swift, owing; part of the purchase…
