Moody v. Jefferson Parish School Board
Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit
1Per curiam
Plaintiff-Appellant Geraldine Moody appeals the district court’s grant of summary judgment dismissing her claims under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. She alleges that her dismissal by her employer, Defendant-Appellee Jefferson Parish School Board (the school board), violated her First Amendment right to academic freedom. Having reviewed the record, we conclude that Moody failed to present any summary judgment evidence rebutting the school board’s stated reasons for her reprimand and transfer. Consequently, her action cannot survive the motion for summary judgment.
