MEMORANDUM

MERHIGE, District Judge.

Plaintiff, Pamela Brown Ponton, a teacher in the Newport News Public School System, has filed this action against the Newport News School Board and various employees of the Newport News Public School System. Plaintiff alleges that the defendants violated her rights by forcing her to take a leave of absence from her teaching position because she was single and pregnant. Plaintiff contends that this coerced leave constituted a violation of her constitutional rights to equal protection, privacy and due process and her statutory rights under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981 and…
