Mrs. H. B. Randolph brought suit against the Seaboard Air-Line Railway and the Brunswick & Birmingham Railroad Company, alleging, that the defendants had damaged petitioner in a certain sum by reason of the negligent running of an engine and train of cars, which, in consequence of being operated negligently as set forth in the petition, on the 3d day of February, 1902, struck and killed her husband; that this was in consequence of the defendants5 negligence, and the deceased could not have avoided the consequence of such negligence by the exercise of ordinary care; that he was crossing the…
