Appellant Barry F. Long brought this action, as amended, against appellees A. L. Williams & Associates, Inc. (Williams) and National Home Life Assurance Company (NHL). In Count I appellant sought actual damages plus penalty and attorney fees against NHL on the ground that NHL had failed to pay certain medical expenses to which appellant contends he was entitled pursuant to an alleged agreement providing group medical insurance coverage.
