Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Ulster County (Williams, J.), rendered September 15, 2011, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of robbery in the first degree.

*995Defendant waived indictment and pleaded guilty to a superior court information charging him with robbery in the first degree with the understanding that he would be sentenced to a prison term of 12 years, to be followed by five years of postrelease supervision.
