MEMORANDUM
YOUNG, District Judge.
On July 19, 1995, a jury of this Court convicted Ian S. Edwards (“Edwards”) of one count of bankruptcy fraud pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 152, finding that Edwards had failed to disclose in his bankruptcy proceeding an equitable interest in a condominium on the island of Barbados. Edwards moved for a judgment of acquittal or a new trial on the ground that the Government had not proven that, under the law of Barbados, Edwards possessed an equitable interest in the property at the time of his bankruptcy filing.
