Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Rockland County (Kelly, J.), rendered March 15, 1989, convicting him of murder in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

On October 6, 1987, the defendant gave a statement to the Rockland County District Attorney and to the police confessing that he had killed his mother earlier that day.
