Defendant was convicted by jury verdict of selling heroin and sentenced to serve a prison term of 20 to 21 years. MCLA 335.152; MSA *33718.1122. From this conviction defendant appeals as a matter of right, raising five allegations of error, which we consider seriatim.

The following evidence produced at trial established the factual background of this appeal. Raymond Sain, an undercover narcotics officer for the Pontiac Police Department, was the chief prosecution witness.
