The case of Griffin v. Russell, 144 Ga. 275 (supra), dealt with the question of the liability of a mother, the owner of an automobile, for the tort of her minor son. That case is not a binding precedent in the present case, for several reasons. In the present case the tort was committed by an adult son. Neither he nor his father was dependent upon the other. The son resided in the home of his father as a guest upon the same principle that shelter is always tendered by a father to his child of whatever age.
