This was an action on the case, under section 9 of the Dram-shop act, brought by the defendant in error, Maria Smith, against John J. Mayers and Harry H. Miller, to recover damages for an injury to her means of support by reason of the death of her husband, David Smith, caused, as alleged, by intoxication produced by intoxicating liquors, obtained, by purchase or gift, from the defendants. The plaintiff recovered in the circuit court.
